Following are a list of FAQs
Do I need a International Drivers license?
There is no requirement to hold an international drivers license to rent one of our Vespas. You do need to hold a valid license from your home jurisdiction of the type and for the period as per the conditions on the Our Vespas page.
Is it difficult to find parking in Paris?
No, Paris has plenty of specific scooter parking all over the city. With most of the monuments it is directly in front, so very convenient. Though you will see many scooters parked on the sidewalk we don't recommend doing this as you may get a parking ticket.
Is it safe to park the scooter overnight?
Yes. Most parts of Paris are safe, but we supply with the scooter rental with a U-bolt lock and chain for security against theft. The U-bolt lock will go through the wheel and the chain can be used to attach the scooter to a pole.
Can 2 people ride on a scooter?
Yes. Two people will fit comfortably on a Vespa S 50cc or the Vespa LXV125 scooter.
What is the difference between the deposit and excess?
The deposit can be applied to any money owed by the renter to Left Bank Scooters, including but not limited to the insurance excess, parking fines, speeding fines, replacement of damaged equipment including helmets . The excess (a.k.a. deductable or franchise) is a possible component that maybe deducted from the deposit. The excess maybe reduced by payment of an additional premium. The deposit cannot be reduced.
What types of credit cards do you accept?
We accept Visa and MasterCard. We also accept cash. Sorry we do not accept American Express
Will you deliver to and collect from train stations?
Yes, we will deliver and collect from any of the major train stations in Paris.
Will you deliver to and collect from CDG airport?
Yes, but we must charge a small fee due to the distance.
Will you deliver to and collect from outside of Paris?
Yes, we will deliver to and collect from outside the Boulevard Péripherique, we charge a small fee to cover additional travel time.
Travel Insurance
We recommend that you always hold travel insurance, our partner is Travel Guard.
What times do you drop off?
We are happy to drop off and pick up anytime between 8am and 8pm 7 days a week. If you are looking for times outside of this window contact us.
Do you charge for excess KM’s?
No. Our rentals include unlimited KM’s.
What sort of GPS do you provide?
We provide the Garmin scooter GPSs.
Can we request a specific colour Vespa?
Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee specific colours.
Can we request a specific guide for our Tour?
While we are unable to guarantee a specific guide, we will do our best to meet any request. We understand that the guides are the face of our business and we ensure that they all are of the highest quality.
How do I know what helmet size I need?
Please refer to the chart to the left to determine the correct size of helmet.
